These special porcelain tea cups are used to steep tea without getting the tea leaves into the drink itself. Throw a pinch of your favorite tea leaves into the filter. Re-place the filter into the cup and pour hot steaming water into the filter. This will allow the tea leaves to be soaked and steeped. Place the lid on top of filter and let it sit for 3-5 minutes, depending on type of tea and taste. Once the tea is ready, flip the lid and place filter on top of lid. Do not throw away the tea leaves! It can be used for several more infusions depending on the quality of the tea. Add more time for each successive infusion. Experiment and enjoy drinking tea in your new cup.
